The new building 324 is intended as a ”micro-campus” with space for learning, interaction and the social environment already characterizing Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby. The 4,500 m² building will include teaching, research, administration and exhibition, as well as facilities for tutorial rooms and social gatherings. The building will be located at the arrival area for a number of key educational buildings on campus. It will act as a ”public space” with an indoor garden, where all users and guests can meet in a bright and open environment.
Sustainable, social and technologic solutions work together. Creating a low energy building was an integral and natural part of the building concept, architecture and the organization of the spatial qualities.
The new building is due to be finished in 2012.
